History
In Deoch 5 ((August 1999)) the mundane scholar Uistean, resolute in his belief that knowledge should not be hoarded by Loures, and noticing the large increase of the aisling population, convinced his kin to help him set up a library in Mileth, located just south of the Shrine of Glicoa.
Uistean also believed that the pursuit of knowledge should not be static, but that discussion of the arts should be a daily occurrence. As such within the span of a moon Uistean expanded the library grounds to become a place of learning: the Mileth College.
In the early Deoch 40s ((2005-2006)) the Mileth College took over responsibilities from Loures ((the Dark Ages Game Director)) for recognition of aisling works submitted to the Library of Loures.
After a few different systems of recognition were tried (including competitive voting on works by nobles, having Knights be reviewers), the current system of reviews by nobles overseen by a Chancellor (formerly called a 'Contest Host') was formalized in Deoch 175.
Recently in Deoch 186 ((February 2022)) the Mileth College and Library moved to a new, larger campus further south located about midway between Mileth and Abel.

The contest hall is where aspiring aisling scholars can submit a work for review and possible recognition. Noble aislings post scholarly reviews of works submitted on the board inside.
(The name 'Contest Hall' is archaic and comes from the early days of the college when scholars competed in contests for recognition. No 'contests' are actually held here.)
