*Exodus*

I sit on the edge of the river of dreams
it\'s glistening, playful waters beckon me emersion into it\'s depths once more
but I can not
only can I look upon the heavens in introspection of memories bliss
my time here falls dusk

I force myself, hard, upon this exodus
my heart pleads me stay, my mind commands otherwise
one final time, I submerge my hands into the waters
to grasp, to hold on to something I cannot keep
a futile attempt
a tear falls upon the waters surface, rippling ,in echoed sadness, it\'s currents
with closed eyes, I turn and begin my journey.
