For years a on and of war has been going on in the Pravat Caves between the Grimlok and the Goblin invaders. In Deoch 6, Fall the conflict began with the Grimlok Queen writing this letter for aisling help: "For centuries we have dwelt in mountainside labor, alone to our cycle and to our kith. We have searched the layers of our past and disturbing history. Our history is now being taken from us. Of the last full moon Grimlok diggers discovered a dark fragment. No more than a chunk of rock at first sight, yet our shaman sensed more. It is a fragment of the Grimlok\'s calling stone. A stone we have remembered only in atavistic dreams. It summons a creature from the nature of the possessor: Good for good; Evil for evil. I pray it remain with the Good. This was a month ago, and I would have kept it secret as it our stone; of Grimlok heritage. But the goblins have discovered it somehow. They slaughter our kith, our kin. Aislings, we call out to you. By a show of our gratitude we shall let the Holy Object be used by the religion that aids our desperate cause. My warrior will provide the necessary details." - Queen of the Grimlok With the help of hundreds of aislings, organized by the religious fellowships of Temuair, the Grimlok were able to get many fragments of the calling stone. All the fellowships except Ceannladir, who sided with the Goblins, fought along side the Grimlok. As a reward the faiths (Ceannladir getting Goblin like creatures for its efforts) were given the ability to summon creatures of their gods. It\'s also rumored that these stones were used to give the Goblin Shamans the ability to summon dubhaim monsters in Astrid. However even though most of the fighting was done the Grimlok and Goblins continued fighting over the still buried conix fragments. Each side still hired aisling mercenaries to assist in their efforts. In Deoch 16 the Goblins finally pulled out of Pravat Caves. During the rise of Tagor in Deoch 21 a new Goblin invasion force entered the caves and has been fighting in their ever since. With the Goblin army fighting a standstill in the grassy plains it is believed the Goblins are preparing a major offensive to seize the remaining conix stones to use in their war effort. We cannot allow this to happen. We are asking for aisling volunteers to seize as many conix stones as possible and turn them over to the Grimlok. Lord Ramanayan will fill you in on the details. Only with your help can we defeat the Goblin menace. The guild Novus Imperia and Ramanayan\'s monster lore class will be raising volunteers to help get the conix stones from the Goblins. We will need as many hands as possible to get as many stones as we can. Participants shall meet in the History Classroom of Mileth College, which is just south of Glicoa\'s shrine in Mileth way. The group will then make its way to the Loures Castle Library where a recognized aisling will teach Conix Lore to allow us to dig up the conix fragments. Finally the group will enter the deepest portions of Pravat itself and proceed to dig up the fragments while fighting of the Goblins. After we get as many fragments as possible we will go to the Grimlok Queen to gather rewards for the fragments and any Goblins killed. "Pravat Battle", begins ((Wednesday June 26th 2002 at 7:00 PM PST)) in Mileth College, history classroom. The event shall probably last for about 1/3 of a Temurian day. ((1 real life hour)). You will need several things for this epic adventure. You must be of at least the 11th insight and bring 3 potions known as reds. We will do our best to keep you safe while in Pravat but we cannot guarantee it. During the battle the all participants will be grouped and should stay together as we will be going into the deepest parts of the caves. And remember: LISTIN and FOLLOW directions given. Completion of the Pravat Battle will result in experience rewards from the Grimlok Queen. -Lord Ramanayan Caesar |
