Introduction

There are various reasons for the mundanes to have introduced bounties in specific areas. With the increasing number of Aislings going into deep slumbers over the Deoches, the mundanes found it necessary to give rewards for killing particularly troublesome monsters. In exchange, they reward Aislings with experience points, useful materials, or somethings both. This serves as an incentive to keep monster populations in check, thus benefitting different Medenian, as well as help Aislings by providing easier access to items they may find useful.

Since the advent of many Aisling sparks on and after Deoch 212, and many others awakening from their slumbers, there has been an increased interest in these so-called Daily Quests. I find it funny to call them “daily”, as they can actually only be repeated every eight suns. Mundanes really do work in mysterious ways, I guess. ((Of course, daily here refers to real-life days.)) A requirement common to all quests described in this work is that Aislings cannot be in a fragile state. ((Must be registered))

There are many Daily Quests throughout the land. In this work I shall focus on the seven Daily Quests that take place in Medenia.

I present below a table with the mundane responsible for giving each of the quests:

Upon completing a Daily Quest, Aislings will receive a legend mark and a reward. The latter depends on the quest itself and is discussed within the appropriate section of this manuscript. It is a common belief that the rewards are random within each category: for example, Nairn will give a total of five Hwarone upgrade plans, but how many of each type is random. Similar statements are usually made about Asilon, Noam, Andor, and the Veltain Mines. However, my research shows that the rewards are always tied to what monster the Aisling is tasked with killing. The only “random” reward is in Andor, but that still depends on which type of Ant must be killed.

Please note that the Mundanes responsible for those quests will not accept sloppy bookkeeping of your kills. Your notes do not have to be perfect, but they have to be at least presentable and organised. I expand on this topic in the section about Recording Your Kills. Keep in mind that Mundanes in Temuair may have different criteria for evaluating your note-taking skills, so please do not assume that what I say about Medenia applies there (though it might!). (( As is well known, the game “forgets” your kills if you kill too many things while doing your daily quest. I have experimented with that and explain how it works on the page linked above. ))

Note also that on any given day, a Mundane may not have a bounty for their respective area. In which case Aislings will still receive their legend marks, but a lesser reward (depending on the quest). As this is something no Aisling can control, it was impossible for me to draw any conclusions on which rewards are affected by the lack of bountis. Therefore, this is something I will not discuss in this work.

I would like to add that this manuscript does not contain hunting tacticts for the different areas or quests. This is a topic that demands extensive research on its own, as it highly depends on party composition and ability levels, and would depart from the original scope of this research (which already grew by itself over time).

Organisation

I have organised the quests by the regions to which they are related. The Daily quests from Asilon and Noam are discussed together in The Plains and Prairie. The Alsaids region encompasses three quests: Fire Canyon, Andor, and the Veltain Mines. I have elected to include Andor here, despite being located in the Noam plains, since it relates to the Hwarone war. Then we have The Lost Ruins with its many sub-areas, and finally the ever mysterious Sacred Forest next to Tavaly Village.
